Bristow R.O.C.K.S was created because students needed a to a greater extent fun and more than synergetic way to l ingest the rules of the drill. This helped make the students more interested in learning and following the rules. At Bristow Middle School students be required to follow behavioral and academic expectations and these be explained in Bristow R.O.C.K.S.
First, school wide expectations are taught through Bristow R.O.C.K.S, and the student handbook, which is set in the front of our planners. Bristow R.O.C.K.S and the student handbook teach students that pry is mandatory at Bristow and is the R in R.O.C.K.S. For pattern, R is for complaisance and all students desire a safe and respectful campus. Students who arrogatet show respect will be referred to the take awayice. Because of Bristow R.O.C.K.S we chicane the rules and the consequences if we break them. At Bristow if our cell phone goes off in class or we are caught texting more than once they are taken to the office and our parent or guardian has to foot it up from the office. Also if we are caught chewing gum more than once we will have to scrape gum off the bottom of the desks as punishment.
Secondly, the O is for opportunity and is where students can earn positive incentives for academics and behavior.
Bristow and the 8th grade polar bear squad rewards positive behavior with various incentives. One of the incentives earned at Bristow for showing respect and compassion is a Paw. A handwriting is like a ticket in a present and 30 students are chosen randomly every Friday. Bristow school recognizes students for maintain excellent grades. Renaissance is a perfect example of this. Renaissance is based on your G.P.A and the higher G.P.A you have the more incentives you will earn.
Finally, Mrs. Borba demands high behavioral and academic expectations from her students. These expectations are discussed in the C section of R.O.C.K.S.
