Craigs psychiatrist, Dr. Minvera, helps to shape Craig into a heroic figure because she is the one who guides Craig in the refine direction throughout the course of the novel. She helps him make the right decisions by helping him to better understand himself, his emotion, ambitions and overall just how his hear and body work together.
