Behaviorism originated with the work of John B. Watson, an American psychologist. Watson claimed that psychology is not concerned with the mind or human consciousness. Instead, psychology would be concerned only with behavior. Men are studied similar animals. Behavior is almost entirely determined by environment and is learned. This means that the material world is the ultimate reality, and everything can be explained in terms of natural laws.
