Essay about heroes

Heroes are those people who one looks up to for inspiration or people who are greatly admired.

Most people have a hero or two in their lives and would not lack words if they were ever asked to write essay about heroes in their lives.

When the word heroes is mentioned, the first thought that comes to the minds of many is that of strong, handsome, intelligent and daring people. However, upon a close examination of these characters, many of the different desirable qualities that are associated with them become less apparent.

Bravery, courageous, honesty and selfness are but a few of the numerous qualities that are often overlooked when looking at the qualities of a hero. The definition of what of who a hero is also changes a lot over time and within the context that they are examined.

Those who were considered as heroes in the past are not necessarily considered heroes in the present and some of those considered as heroes in the present would not meet the mark of being called heroes if time were to be turned back to some decades ago.

Heroes can either be real people or those fantasy figures that are creations of the mind. For instance a real and ordinary person could suddenly turn into a hero for risking his life to save the lives of other people or those legendary and fantasy figures that many children are obsessed with.

Imaginary heroes are usually associated with things such as discovering lost treasure, challenging and winning fights against dragons, taking of difficult and next to impossible journeys and engaging in other selfless and courageous acts.
