Abstract
Diabetes is a serious, costly, and for the most part, aoften preventable health problem in the United States. Research obtained concludes that Blacks score a more negative employment outcome as a result of uncontrolled diabetes that adversely impacts work overstretch participation as compared to other groups. Increased incidence of diabetes among Blacks versus other raceswhen compared to other groups is associated with an increased number of missed work age more absences due to illness and , as well as lower overall dwelling earnings. In part, lower household earnings are due to Blacks having less access to health insurance by their employers or having other available resources. This groupAs a result, Diabetes negatively impacts economic growth as well as human capital as it relates torelated to: education, work experience, training, and the health of the workforce.
